Blood Road Takes Home Emmy Award

Blood Road, the feature length documentary produced by Red Bull Media House, was honored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with the News and Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Graphic Design and Art Direction. In the award-winning film, Red Bull athlete Rebecca Rusch cycles thousands of kilometers along the Ho Chi Minh Trail through the jungles of Vietnam. The goal is to reach the site where her father, a US Air Force pilot, was shot down in Laos more than 40 years earlier.

“I never in my life thought I would be on a stage holding an Emmy. It’s like the Olympic medal of documentaries," Rusch said. “My dad has given me so much, and those gifts just continue. This was an amazing moment and I’m going to continue that momentum to do good and ‘be good.’”

Blood Road is currently available to stream on Red Bull TV.

The Crew 2 Player Comes Face to Face With Rally Champion Bryce Menzies For a Once in a Lifetime Real World Game Experience

The word “immersive” gets tossed around a lot in the esportsarena, so Red Bull Media House and Ubisoft’s Ivory Tower teamed up to deliver atruly original adventure inside the game and out in the real world. The game, The Crew 2; the contest, Face Your Ride, held exclusively onRedBull.com and promoted via the social media platforms for both companies. Thecontest, designed to promote trial and feedback during the game’s beta launch, was designed as a reward for the feedback provided by the game’s most loyalplayers.

Fans of the original game asked for more realism and more freedomto drive open world. Ubisoft delivered by allowing players to instantly switchbetween a near-endless array of planes, boats, cars, trucks, bikes and other trickedout high performance vehicles while also roaming the USA on adventures in everyregion.

To promote the new release, the Red Bull contest invited beta testplayers to submit their best The Crew 2 stunts for the chance to play the gamein real life with rally champion Bryce Menzies. Red Bull Media House and Acer Announce Second Season of Original Esports Content

Esports started as underground phenomenon and quickly moved to the mainstream by sheer force as the fan base rapidly grew, and yet even some of the top pro players in the world still have trouble explaining what they do and why they do it to their parents. These are just some of the stories told by Red Bull Media House and Acer in a series of short form documentaries streaming live on multiple platforms including Red Bull TV. The collaboration would continue in the coming year with a roster of new and returning series.

Season1 of Part of the Game traveled the globe to look at the impact four cities have had on esports culture. Berlin as the epicenter of world cultures; Seoul as the birthplace and reigning capital of professional sports; Moscow, a country that once again recognized esports as an official sport after stripping it of that distinction; and Copenhagen, where society, business and schools are only beginning to discover the benefits esports have on human socialization and brain development. Season 2 will visit four more cities to discover different ways esports are impacting the local population in the world at large.

esports Unfold provides up close profiles of the real people behind the avatars known the world over for their esports prowess.A new series, Prism, is going to lookat the world of esports from the even different perspective.

Each series, seen by millions of fans to date, helps redefine the possibilities of branded content. In the opening and/or closing credits of each 5-10 minute episode, viewers simply see the words “In collaboration with Predator”, Acer’s premium gaming laptop computer. Product placements from either company are subtle and organic, if seen at all. The purpose of the content is to strengthen ties to the gaming community by sharing authentic stories from around the globe.

Bike Unchained 2 Puts The Thrill of Slopestyle Competition and Downhill Racing in the Palm of Your Hand

Bike Unchained 2 Puts The Thrill of Slopestyle Competition and Downhill Racing in the Palm of Your Hand

Red Bull has deep roots in the pro bike sports arenas—includingdownhill, cross country, and slopestyle—as a sponsor, broadcaster, filmmakerand social media promoter. With Bike Unchained, now in its second iteration,Red Bull Media House leverages its relationships with pro athletes and venues, plusyears of front-lines production experience with the Union CyclisteInternationale (UCI), to create a fully immersive gaming experience for bike fans. The cumulative result is a stronger, larger, and more fully engaged fan base toensure the sport’s continued success for years to come.

Anyone who's seen the Mercedes Benz UCI Mountain Bike World CupTouron Red Bull TV knows a lot of glory that comes with being one of the top downhillelite racers or slopestyle champions; but along with the fame, sponsorships, and bragging rights comes the bumps, bruises dislocated shoulders, brokenbones, mud splatter, driving rain, and face whipping winds—all the stuff thatmakes Red Bull’s coverage so compelling. The first edition of Bike Unchainedallowed gamers to experience the gut-clenching thrills of competition withoutall the bone-breaking spills, let alone the travel bills necessary to visit theplanet’s most daunting courses. It was a worldwide sensation embraced by ridersand gamers alike. And now, Version 2 is out and it's more realistic, moreintense, and more exciting than ever before.

Gamers asked for more realism so Red Bull Media House delivered withBike Unchained 2. Once again riders can take on the most intense downhill andslopestyle tracks, in exotic locations around the world. Along the way, theycan mentor with some of the world's top pro riders in the game, including Aaron Gwin (USA, downhill),Tahnée Seagrave (UK, Cross Country), Fabio Wibmer (Austria, Street Trials) orThomas Genon (Belgium, Slopestyle). Mentorship ismore then just getting some tips and tricks; pro riders help can actually help playersbuild a better bike and customize it to best suit the slopestyle event ordownhill track they’re about to take.

Bike Unchained 2 is a game of strategy as well as skill. Betterbikes don’t come cheap; Riders must earn rewards in order to build custom bikes. In real life competition, a pro like Gwin can win downhill race on sheermomentum alone after a chain breaks at the top of the hill (as he did atLeogang in 2015); there’s no guarantee all players can do it but with the rightgear, the right skills and the right attitude, anything is possible.

The Bike Unchained 2 community on Redbull.com is filled with tips, hacks and other tricks to come out of the gate as quickly as possible.

Try riding a mountain bike with one hand down an elite downhillcourse or slopestyle ramp and you’re all but guaranteed to go head overhandlebars and wind up in the ER. With Bike Unchained 2.0, customized forAndroid and iOS, such skills can now land you atop the victor’s podium. Thegame now features portrait orientation mode that allows one-handed gameplay onmobile devices. As riders gather speed, they need to make a lot of split seconddecisions such as when to jump, how much air to take, when to coast, and whento scrub for speed.

“AtRed Bull we have access to the greatest MTB riders in the world, so we teamedup with Matti Lehikoinen, Finnish Downhill legend, who was tireless in sharinghis experience with our developers so that they could produce the mostrealistic game out there,” said Pekka Kupiainen, the Producer of Bike Unchained2. The pro insight paid off, creating a game that rewards fans who know thesport inside and out by watching it on Red Bull TV.

Riderswill also need different bikes and different strategies to master both thedownhill and slopestyle events. While it's fun to take air, that's good forslopestyle but will set players back in downhill when every hundredth of everysecond counts. In slopestyle, big tricks are one thing, but combos areeverything. Combo strategy is about knowing each jump, how fast to hit it, andwhat tricks they're going to do and what combination.

Along the tour, each track is radically different; the only way playersare going to get good is to play the game again and again and again. Some downhilltracks are so challenging at the beginning, new riders are aren't going to beable to master them right away; the secret is never giving up and alwaysstaying focused. Some other tracks have surprises near the end; just asplit-second off guard could end the race for even an elite-level rider.

Bike Unchained 2 Puts The Thrill of Slopestyle Competition and Downhill Racing in the Palm of Your Hand

Better graphics, new courses, one-handed portrait game play mode, and expanded pro mentorships are among the new features in Version 2.0.
